It’s Spring! Here comes the Sun!
The Spring equinox is a powerful time on the astrological clock, which marks the end of the old year and the beginning of the new year. The word equinox means equal night and day, when daylight is about as long as darkness. This only occurs twice a year- Spring and Fall, and both are represented as magical and powerful times. Spring is a sign of new beginnings. Flowers begin to boom, plants flourish, and life flourishes all over. A general sense of happiness is felt as winter weeds away. It is the time to set new intentions for yourself and start acting on those intentions so you can manifest your desires. It’s not coincidence that many religious celebrations, like Easter, also take place around this time. Just like seeds get planted in the Spring, now is your time to plant your seeds. Watch your ‘seeds’ sprout and grow in the next three months thru the Summer solace and harvested into Fall. Then Winter serves as how you can reevaluate what you did and what you can do better; what worked what didn’t. Tonight, March 22, there is new moon in Aries, which marks exciting new shifts in goals, innovation, enthusiasm, and new paths.
So this week you can evaluate what your goals were last year. Did you complete them? Have your values shifted? What projects still need to be completed, or even started? Thing of what you want to manifest, write it down, visualize it, and use Spring to bringing it into your life.
“This is a strong cycle under which to re-evaluate our relationship to ourselves. With this potent Aries energy, we have the chance to make important changes in our lives. It’s time to make some solid yet realistic plans, and to set the stage for reaping the rewards from our new beginnings, as little or big as they may be, in approximately two weeks’ time after the Full Moon occurs.Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, and thus a New Moon in Aries is especially ripe with opportunity for new beginnings. We might consider acting on a constructive impulse and following a hunch, or taking a risk. Aries learns through experience and action, so we might treat ourselves to a little adventure now. It’s also a good cycle under which to discover the benefits of expressing ourselves with authenticity – expressing ourselves as we are, without putting on airs. We might also find ways to learn how to rely on ourselves and to be happy about doing so – it will go a long way towards finding inner happiness when we know that we can be self-sufficient without blaming others for not helping us out. It’s a time to revitalize ourselves through experiences that break the routine and that involve doing something new and fresh.” [Astrology Cafe]
Planet Astrology- The Sun in Aries: The Spring equinox brings the sun in to Aries, the first Zodiac sign- the energy of new beginnings and new sense of identity, and an opportunity to naturally bring some things to an end. Aries propels the sunlight- energizing, exciting, driven, self-confident, enthusiastic. This is the perfect time to evaluate what has ended, what is emerging, and step out of fear and into the real you. Continue to follow your heart for the future you have dreamed of, and make every day a step closer in that direction. This may mean healing by saying goodbye to people, places, and ways no longer serving you in your life. The Aries new moon this week joins with Uranus to bring us an awakened sense of ourselves, as if we are being zapped and lit up. Aries is the most lively of the three fire zodiac signs. It is the “I am” sign, symbolizing out sense of identity and purpose. Aries wants to make a dent in the world, do something big, akin to their symbol, the Ram. Driven by planet Mars, they are determined to excel and always moving forward into what may lie ahead. Aries also rules the logic of astrology, which means the conscious Aries can sit back and observe how to best reach their goals. They channel their Mars energy- desire- well to get what they want. The planet Mars has been retrograde this year since January and beginning April 13, it will move forward. It’s no surprise if projects have been lament, or you’ve found yourself doing circles, and getting no where. Things will pick up and move forward with Mars out of retrograde. 2012 is a big year for our planet. Energy is shifting, people are moving into more conscious realms, and new things are happening. Its very exciting! Make the most of this Spring Equinox by setting your bearings in place, listing what you want, and setting goals to achieve them. Kind of like the American New Year, except now you can consider what you wanted in January, what has happened, and where you are going now, and what aligns with that. The new moon awakens your sense of self. Your thoughts create your reality, your intentions create your outcome, and your heart desires creates your dreams when you’re honest with yourself. Spring cleaning! Get rid of the old, the negative attitudes, any lingering negative energy, the I cant’s, do some Spring cleaning in your closet, your home, and your mind and inner self. Figure out what you want, and start now to achieve it. Get rid so you can Spring forward and live bright. Pull your past Winter weeds, and plant new seeds now so your body and soul, and higher self, can blossom and grow throughout the rest of the year. Happy Spring! Don’t forget to dress in bright colors and buy flowers (Sunflowers are my favorite) to brighten your space 🙂
